Rates, Policies and Procedures
We ask all our guests to please read these Policies and Procedures, in the hope they will make your time at The Green House Inn a more relaxing and enjoyable stay. These Policies, Procedures contain important information that may answer any questions you have.
Rates Our rates vary depending upon room, room location, season, holidays, special events and length of stay. Rates can change
without notice and are subject to availability. Please consult us for the exact room rates for your dates. All taxes and fees are
in addition to the quoted room rates. Our seasons are: High Season: Spring & Fall;  Shoulder Season: Winter;  
Low Season: Summer.
We offer a weekly discount of 10%, as well as Special discounts throughout the year, subject to availability.
Please contact us for both weekly and monthly stay discounts.
Deposits One night's room & tax is required at time of booking to confirm your room. During Special Events, Holidays & Groups,
we require 1/3 or 100% of length of booking, please check with the The Green House Inn for the deposit required for your stay.
Final payment is due at check in, except for Special Events, Holidays & Groups, which is due 60 days in advance of arrival.
There are no refunds for Special Events or Groups reservations.
Minimum Stay

Special Events & Holidays
A two (2) night reservation is required on weekends - Friday & Saturday nights. For Special Events and Holidays, the minimum
stay requirement may be longer depending on the Event or Holiday. Please check our Online Reservation Form for
your desired date's availablilty or contact The Green House Inn .
Groups Groups are considered to be occupying 3 rooms or more. 1/3 deposit is required to confirm a Group reservation.
The balance is due 60 days prior to arrival. There are no refunds for Group reservations.
We ask that Group reservations be made directly with the Inn.
Cancellation Policies All cancellations must be in writing or via E Mail. A $25.00 cancellation fee applies to all reservations.
Cancellations made 15 days or more prior to check in date receive a refund of the deposit minus a $25 cancellation fee.
Reservations cancelled 14 or fewer days before check in date forfeit the deposited amount.
On reservations for Special Events, Holidays & Groups, there are no refunds.
Please check with the Inn for the policies governing your stay.
Early Check Outs There is no refund for checking out earlier than the number of days agreed at at time of booking.
Payment Method We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Diners Card, Traveler's checks & cash.
We do not accept personal or business checks. Payment is due in full at time of check-in.
Check In/Check Out Check in time is 3pm - Check out time is 12 noon. If arriving later than 7:00 pm or earlier than 3pm,
you must call the Inn in advance to make special arrangements. We want to be on hand to greet you,
however, our reception desk is not staffed full time, so your arrival time is important.
We can always hold your luggage if needed.
Arrival Times Your expected arrival time is necessary for us to confirm your reservation.
Please let us know if it changes in route, so that someone can be on hand to greet you.
We will hold your room for up to two hours after the arrival time you have given us, after this period
your reservation may be canceled and you may considered a "no-show", resulting in a forfeit of your deposit.
Rooms All of our rooms include deluxe king size beds with private baths w/showers. We do not have any rooms with separate beds.
The number of guests in any room is limited to 2 persons. Assigned rooms may be changed at the sole discretion of
The Green House Inn and will only occur if the requested room is not available due to unforeseen circumstances,
as in a previous guest occupying the room extends their stay. Therefore, we can not guarantee specific Room requests.
We will always try to give you the best available room, at your rate, at time of check in.
Please be aware that as a 175 year old preserved house, there is no elevator.
There are also various steps & stairs at The Green House Inn.
Age Restrictions As the The Green House Inn is an adult only resort accommodation, therefore, we are unable to accommodate children.
Guests must be 18 or older. Government issued ID may be required at time of check in.
Smoking The Green House Inn's rooms and interior are SMOKE-FREE. Smoking is allowed only by the pool and in the gardens.
Pets The Green House Inn allows pets (dogs and cats only) with advanced notice reservations.
We limit the number of pets at the Inn at any one time. There is a $25 fee for each pet staying in the room.
Reservations for guests traveling with pets must be made directly with the Inn over the phone.
The care, feeding, walking and behavior of your pet is your responsibility. A maximum of 2 pets per room.
Pets are not allowed to run free and must be on a leash at all times outside the guest room.
Pets must be walked off premises. There is a lovely, historic park, Coliseum Square two blocks away.
Pets are expected to be under a flea prevention program and kept clean.
Pets are not allowed in or near the pool. If a pet is noisy, destructive or disturbs others,
you may be asked to leave without a refund out of deference to our other guests.
A mobile phone number is required, so that we can contact you during your stay, if necessary.
Guests are liable for any actions or damages by their pets.
Special Needs Any special needs, such as floor levels, tour arrangements, etc. can only be handled with special attention by
calling the The Green House Inn in advance.
Weather New Orleans enjoys a balmy semi-tropical weather most of the year, however some years there is a threat
of a hurricane, usually in late Summer. Therefore, if the National Weather Service declares a hurricane warning for
New Orleans and you cancel your reservation within the cancellation period due to this warning or a hurricane,
The Green House Inn will not refund your deposit, however, it will instead hold your deposit as a credit
for a future booking within one year from the date of your originally scheduled arrival.
There are no refunds due to other weather.
Garden &
Swimming Pool
The Green House Inn Pool & Hot tub is a "Europeon attitude/clothing optional" area.
Guests are asked to be respectful of other guests of the Inn in the other areas of the Inn.
All guests are asked to be quiet between 10 PM and 10 AM when outside in the garden, pool or hot tub,
so as not to disturb other guests. Under no circumstances may music be played outside during this time period.
No glass or bottles are allowed by the pool. There is no lifeguard on duty and diving is not permitted.
Gated off
street Parking
The Green House Inn has limited gated off-street parking.
1 space of complimentary parking per room is provided based on availability.
RV's, U-Hauls, moving vans, trailers or large trucks are not allowed.
The is ample street parking most times of the year for visitors.
In House
Restrictions
Sorry, due to the age of the Inn, no candles, incense, coffee makers or cooking is allowed in the rooms.
All of our rooms are limited to single or double occupancy. No unregistered overnight guests are allowed in the rooms.
Viewing the Inn We here at The Green House Inn love the house and enjoy showing it off!
However, out of respect for the privacy of our guests, all viewings require an 24 hour advance appointment.
The Green House Inn is a lovingly restored, classic New Orleans 1840 house turned B &B, which can be toured
from 10am-4pm with advance notice.
