Jesse the inn keeper is a native of the area. His family were among the original Acadian (Cajun) settlers in Louisiana in the 1700s. So if it wasn’t already in his DNA, Jesse thankfully has a keen interest in the history and culture of the area. Along with first hand knowledge of things to do and places to eat, he is a truly local tour guide for our guests.
Over 20 years ago Jesse saved a run-down historic house. He painted it green and transformed it, turning it into a semi-tropical oasis that now warmly hosts a diverse group of guests the world over. He lives on the premises and is ready to share stories of New Orleans and its surrounding areas.
P.S. When Jesse isn’t around, Frank and the others are also locals: friendly, informative—and loquacious if needed.
