A new Italian dame has arrived in the Central Business District. Gianna, located at the corner of Magazine and Girod (just 8 blocks from The Green House Inn), is making its mark in an area of town known for great restaurants. The newest addition to The Link Restaurant Group, Gianna serves up Southern Italian fare with a twist of Louisiana flavor. But the food is not the only show-stopper here. The décor and ambiance at Gianna are exquisite. Upon entry you will notice the mint green Baccarat-style chandelier hanging above the hostess station and the massive bar that occupies in the center of the room – a favorite among the happy hour business crowd. Gianna is the perfect spot for a work lunch or date night. The menu features a great selection of antipasti items, appetizers, pastas, mains and desserts. But don’t forget to try their house-made cellos, made with seasonal ingredients like classic lemon, blueberry or walnut.
A few GHI favorites –
From the Antipasti Menu: Tuna Stuffed Peppers, House-Made Salami, and Oven-Roasted Marinated Mushrooms
From the Pasta Menu: Rigatoni with pistachio pesto, Linguine with English peas, and Lemon Ravioli.
From the Dessert Menu: Pistachio Cheesecake, Fried Fig Pie, and Chocolate-chip Bundt Cake (and Blueberry Cello)
Of course, we can’t wait to go back to try some of the appetizers and entrees and revisit some of our favorites from our first dining experience at Gianna.
